Leading our community

Having retired in August 2022 after 30 years at Vail Place, former Executive Director Vicky Couillard left her mark as a steadfast and innovative leader. She provided much needed stability during some of our most challenging times while her team-building strategies continued to strengthened our community. Now leading us forward as Executive Director, Karina Forrest-Perkins brings over 20 years of experience in the mental, chemical and behavioral health fields. Her prior relationship with Vail Place as the CEO of Wayside Recovery Center perfectly aligns with an organization she already knows and deeply respects. Striking a balance between deference to the legacy of prior leadership and being ever responsive to our community’s needs, we are extremely fortunate that Karina has joined our team.
